Justin Timberlake lidera indicações ao VMA deste ano

Justin Timberlake e a dupla Mackelmore e Ryan Lewis lideram as indicações para o prêmio MTV Video Music Awars deste ano, com seis cada um. A 30ª edição do evento vai acontecer no Barclays Center, em Nova York, no dia 25 de agosto, com transmissão ao vivo.

O cobiçado prêmio de Clipe do Ano teve indicados revelados através de contas no Instagram e Vine – a primeira vez que o anúncio foi feito através de redes sociais. Eles são “Mirrors”, de Justin Timberlake, “Thrift Shop”, de Macklemore e Ryan Lewis, “Locked Out of Heaven”, de Bruno Mars, “Blurred Lines”, de Robin Thicke com T.I. e Pharrell Williams, e “I Knew You Were Trouble”, de Taylor Swift.

Além deste troféu, Justin Timberlake concorre também em Melhor Clipe Masculino, Melhor Clipe Pop e Melhor Edição por “Mirrors”, enquanto com “Suit and Tie”, que tem participação de Jay-Z e comando de David Fincher, concorre a Melhor Colaboração e Melhor Direção. Macklemore e Ryan Lewis concorrem a Melhor Clipe de Hip-Hop, Fotografia, Melhor Direção e Melhor Edição. Outros nomeados foram Pink, Thirty Seconds to Mars e Miley Cyrus, com três indicações cada.

Neste ano o troféu de Melhor Artista Novo teve nome alterado para Artista para Acompanhar (Artist to Watch). Os indicados são Twenty One Pilots, com “Holding on to You”, Zedd e Foxes, com “Clarity”, Austin Mahone com “What About Love”, The Weeknd, com “Wicked Games” e Iggy Azalea, com “Work”.
